Insurance 2026: Where AI Narrative Ends and AI Impact Begins

28 May 2026
Main Stage
Strategy & Leadership

European insurance has never been more profitable. But the tailwinds that got us here (pricing power, hard markets, strong solvency) are fading. What comes next? This keynote argues the answer is agentic AI, and that the evidence is no longer theoretical. Real insurers are achieving step-change improvements in underwriting, claims, and IT productivity. Yet the vast majority of the industry has failed to scale AI beyond pilots. We are living in a narratocracy, telling the AI story without delivering the impact. The session then turns to InsurTech: from the great reset to the emergence of AI-native insurers that can reach billion-dollar scale with a handful of people. The economics that killed the first wave no longer apply. The question is no longer "if", it's "who builds it first."
